The Collection of Sidney Rothberg, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This lot is located in Philadelphia.

Condition
Winter I: in overall good condition. Judging from the accumulated grime and yellowed varnish in the snow, we would recommend a light cleaning. With localized brown soiling marks at bottom center, in the snow in between the figures, as well as in the bottom right quadrant (still in a snow). Soft diagonal scratch on the canvas surface at upper left quadrant, across the top of the trees' branches, and just before the red sun. Examination under UV light does not reveal any sign of inpainting or repair. Additional images available upon request.Blue Bench: In overall good condition. Judging from the accumulated grime and yellowed varnish in the snow, we would also recommend a light cleaning. Minor white scuffs at center left, near the left outer edge, as well at upper center in the sky and in the upper right quadrant. Examination under UV light reveals accumulated varnish, but does not show any sign of inpainting or repair.
